Company's Coming !

It's so very pretty outside this morning. The streets and sidewalks are still glistening from our recent days of rain, but the sky is clear and the sun is shining brightly. Shrubs seem backlit, their carnival of colors glowing. We're in for an unusually beautiful day.. so says the weatherman, and I'm appreciating all of it.

It also helps that I have today off! Today and tomorrow, to be exact. And, Olga's (Ollie from Ireland) coming to visit! YAY.. we're going to go out and show her a good time these next few days.

I phoned a Barclay's Bank recruitment hotline yesterday, inquiring after a job ad Lou found online. After a twenty minute preliminary phone interview, they're sending me the application pack and passing my name on to the particular branch where the post is available. There is one requirement where I may have stretched the truth so I've some studying up to do... but this one looks like a good 'foot-in-the-door' and I couldn't let it go without trying.

Loubie's up now.. the rumplehead sleeps later than I do. My back begins to ache if I stay in bed too long.. and she could use the extra time hogging the bed, without my occasional, ever so feminine snoring. I'm gonna go love on her while she's still warm from the covers!

Then it'll be time for me to hit the shower. We have a plane to meet shortly!

lmao at bedhogging and snoring... both of which my ex was quite skilled at! Hope ya have her trained to flip over with but a gentle touch. When we were first married, I was sound asleep, and all of a sudden, my head dropped precipitously. Shaking off whatever the heck just happened, I opened my eyes to see my pillow happily nestled under her... and she was out cold, she thieved my pillow in the midst of her sleep.

I have to pay my compliments to you for your fine writing today, an excellent read...

have a fun day off and weekend!
